Sam Sumpter is the founder and director of Bands do BK—a guide to Brooklyn by bands, for everyone (@bandsdobk), Launched as a blog in 2019, BdBK has since expanded into other forms of media, including, most recently, a book of the same name.

In addition to this work, Sam is the manager of punk band Mary Shelley. She also books, produces and promotes live shows and fundraisers on stages (and in living rooms) across Brooklyn and Manhattan, including at the legendary Arlene's Grocery, where she works as a talent buyer.
